KONTRIBUSI PENDAPATAN PEDAGANG KAKI LIMA WANITA TERHADAP PENDAPATAN RUMAH TANGGA DI NAGARAI KOTO VII PELANGGAI KECAMATAN RANAH PESISIR KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

Abstract

This research was conducted based on a field survey that revealed that many women contribute to the family's breadwinners. The role of women, or mothers, extends beyond domestic work to public spaces. The father's income, as the primary breadwinner, is insufficient to meet the family's needs, forcing mothers to work as traders, domestic helpers, and so on. Based on these survey results, the researchers were interested in examining the contribution of female street vendors' income to household income in Koto VIII Pelangai. This study employed a case study method. To obtain data from the research subjects, the researchers employed a census method, directly surveying the field. The results revealed that eight housewives contributed more than 50% to their household income. Six housewives contributed less than 50% to their household income. The average result was that 57% of female street vendors in Koto VIII Pelangai contributed to their family's income.
